I became king of Israel when I was thirty years old and I served as king for a total of forty-two years.  1 Samuel 13:1.

I had a son named Jonathan.  1 Samuel 14:1.

During the whole time I served as king, Israel was at war with the Philistines.  1 Samuel 14:52.

The Lord took the kingdom of Israel away from me because I disobeyed His word.  1 Samuel 15:26-28.

David played the harp for me.  1 Samuel 16:23.

I was jealous of David because he was more popular with the people.  1 Samuel 18:7-9.

I was afraid of David because the Lord was with him.  1 Samuel 18:12.

I told Jonathan and all the servants to kill David.  1 Samuel 19:1.

Even though I wanted to kill David, David would not harm me.  1 Samuel 24:16-18.

David became king of Israel after I died.  2 Samuel 5:1-3.
